Willis Resilience Expedition Live Q&A School Science Lesson

13th April 2013, 03:38pm

On Friday 13 December, schoolchildren at Lawford Primary School in Essex, UK had the chance to participate in a live phone call to Antarctica and Q&A session with Nathan Hambrook-Skinner, Communications Director on the Willis Resilience Expedition.

The live phone call took place in the pupils’ afternoon Science lesson.

Connor Consgrove who is in Year 4 and attended the Science lesson had previously met Parker at the Willis Resilience Expedition truck launch in London back in November. He was able to attend the launch event along with his father, Mark, who works for the expedition sponsor, Willis Group.

Having met Parker and been inspired by his journey, Connor was keen for Expedition director Nathan Hambrook-Skinner to speak to his peers so that they could all find out more about Parker’s Arctic and Antarctic adventures, and specifically the Willis Resilience Expedition. The afternoon provided a platform for Nathan to speak directly to the youngsters about his trek and his findings in Antarctica.

Parker Liautaud unfortunately was not feeling well on the day, so he provided the Class with a video of himself answering their questions about his experience on the Willis Resilience Expedition.
