A Custom-Built Communications Centre On Six Wheels

The Willis Resilience Expedition will deploy a 2.6 tonne bespoke communications centre built around the 170bhp Toyota Hilux 6×6.

Built by Arctic Trucks in Iceland, it will be ‘home’ for the majority of the expedition team for 40 days.

The Willis Truck will provide logistical support to the scientific and survey phases whilst streaming live video and data online to a global audience during the speed record attempt.

It will do this with the help of two Iridium Pilot systems and a remote camera rig built in the truck.
